Located in a generic medial building, this doctors’ office features contemporary architecture emphasized by the lighting design. Matching small CFL pendants mark the reception desk as all other aspects of the lighting design come together in the Faculty Physician Waiting Room. This fast schedule project had a typical budget, and the lighting design contributes to the atypical architecture for this project-type. A small but well selected fixture palate with maintenance-friendly lamps, California Title 24 compliant low-energy design, architectural integration and attention to visual comfort creates a unique atmosphere in a windowless office space. Multi-layered lighting techniques illuminate each space properly forming an environment that helps patients and family heal in a home away from home.
