The Hilton Orlando, directly linked via a sky bridge to Florida’s Orange County Convention Center which ranks the second largest in the nation, blurs the line between resort and hotel providing both recreational amenities and meeting facilities. Full scope lighting design was provided for the project. Exterior lighting included the building facade, pool deck, sports courts, mini-golf course, driveways, and parking areas. Interior lighting included all guest rooms, lobby, retail, spa, bars, restaurants, three ballrooms, and dozens of meeting rooms.
Hilton Orlando’s lobby is the most dramatic space of the hotel. Pin spot tables and flower vases sit against accented columns with integral backlit sconces. Illuminated glass bubbles are central to decorative chandeliers above seating groups, reception desk, and grand stars. Behind the reception desk, the blue glow of the pool deck stimulates a contrasting background.
