26,000 SF overall
State-of-the-art facilities that serve as a model of sustainable design and an educational resource for the community. The headquarters integrates a 19th century farmhouse and barn with a new contemporary two-level 19,500 SF glass and steel building.
The architectural design reinforces their mission of strengthening nonprofit organizations that advance the well-being of humanity.
The lighting design capitalizes on daylight, minimized electric light and accentuates harmonious balance of warm and cool textures through a rhythm of fixtures specific to the orientation of the building.
The creative use of basic fluorescent fixtures work in concert with halogen incandescent accent lighting, and a detailed control system, creates a comfortable paradigm shift from the previous facility’s all manually switched incandescent lighting design.
