Bryan joined LIGHTING DESIGN ALLIANCE in 2006 after graduating with an Architectural Engineering degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Covering the architectural engineering basics of electrical, structural, thermodynamics, and construction management, Bryan also balanced his technical skills by developing a broad knowledge in architectural theory, psychology, and humanities. His focus of illumination engineering was developed with in depth study of illumination theory and lab work, lighting design, radiative transfer, daylighting, and lighting equipment design. With the support of his academic illumination engineering knowledge, Bryan spent time as a intern at The Office for Visual Interaction, located in Manhattan. Due to the small office size, Bryan was given responsibility for many aspects of the design process from conceptual design to layout and specification. While at OVI Bryan worked on residential, office, monument and library projects.
For the past four years at LIGHTING DESIGN ALLIANCE, Bryan’s experience has expanded to hospitality, retail, landscape, residential development, commercial, museum, nightclub and restaurant design. In the past several years, Bryan’s completed projects include Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kadini Village, Katsuya (Multiple Locations), S-Bar, Hyde Lounge (Multiple Locations), The Colony, Keyes European Mercedes, The Park Taiwan, Microsoft Retail (Multiple Locations), Rubicon Aqaba and The Hilton Orlando.
